Ship small, ship often
We would rather put something modest in front of people this week and improve it from real use than polish privately for a quarter.
No fabricated numbers
If we cannot measure it, we do not claim it. That applies to the product, the marketing and the things we tell each other.
Own the whole thing
Whoever builds a feature writes its tests, its docs and the copy in it. Handing off the unglamorous half is how software gets worse.
Write it down
Decisions live in the commit that made them, with the reasoning. If the why is not recorded, the next person re-litigates it.
